3 Ways To Write Your Kindle Book

Choose How To Get Your Book Created3 Ways To Write Your Book

In my last post I talked about how you can make money writing a simple kindle book. It is not that difficult and almost anyone can do it. In this post I will go through the 3 possible options you can take in order to get your ebook uploaded and ready for sale on Amazon. They are all viable options with pros and cons for each method.

Option One – Do It YourselfWrite Your Own Book
If you are a writer and wannabe author, the obvious choice would be to write the book yourself. All you have to do is decide on the type of book you want to put together.

Are you a fiction writer or a non-fiction writer? Do you want to write story books for children? Are you a Sci-Fi fan?

Whatever genre you write in, get those words typed up on the wordprocessor of your choice, proof read it, edit it, add your book cover and upload to Amazon.

The advantages of doing it yourself is that you know exactly what you are getting. You can take as long as you like. If it is non-fiction, you may be writing about a topic that you are completely knowledgable about so you can cover as many sub topics as you wish. If you are a fiction writer, your stories can be as long, detailed and as creative as you desire.

The only disadvantage is if you do not feel confident in your writing. This may cause you to procrastinate, get scared and then just give up. Hopefully you will realise that the process is not that difficult. Be brave and just go for it.

Option Two – Use PLR Articles
The PLR BoutiqueNow before you call me out for trying to say you can use duplicate content, the use of PLR for your kindle book is perfectly acceptable as long as you do it in the right way.

You should treat PLR articles as a foundation for your writing. This is the perfect way to get hold of research for your book. You can organise the articles with your own chapter titles and then use the information to write your own version so that the writing is in your own voice and style.

PLR articles can also provide you with topic ideas that you may not have considered so this is a great way to carry out quick and easy research.

The advantage of using good quailty PLR is that you do not have to do the research so this cuts down the time it will take to get your book completed. It is also an inexpensive way to gather together data for your project.

The disadvantage of using PLR is that you may be tempted to use the articles as they are. Amazon will definitely penalise you for using content that might be available in the same format elsewhere on the internet. You could end up losing your account so this is definitely something you want to avoid.

Use OutsourcingOutsourcing
If you have absolutely no interest in the writing process or you would rather be a publisher of books, you could choose to get the whole process outsourced. You can hire a ghostwriter and provide them with the outline for your story, agree a price and then wait for the results.

There are lots of people who actually give the ghostwriter free reign to write what they like, providing basic info such as the subject genre and word count requirement.

Writers can be found in several places online. You could try Odesk, Freelancer.com or Elance. and there is also a Writer for Hire section in the Warrior Forum.

The advantages of outsourcing the content is that you are free to get on with other parts of your business. This is also a good option if you do not like writing or you are excellent at coming up with ideas, themes and topics but do not want to do the wordy stuff.

The disadvantage of outsourcing is the cost. If you want to get something that is good quality, you may have to invest quite a bit of money upfront. There is no guarentee that your outsourced book will be a success either.

My Kindle Book Journey So Far
I am currently taking my time to work on my kindle books. So far I have written a couple of children’s books, a few non-fiction books and a few books in the oooh la la erotica arena.

I have a few short fiction stories that I need to edit and upload but I have to pluck up the courage to get it out there.

I know that there is very good money to be made with kindle books and this can be a really good passive income. I am not yet at the stage where I can give up the real world job and live off my earnings but I am taking baby steps towards my goals and look forward to seeing how long it will take me to reach my milestone goals.

Amazon has an excellent internal marketing process so that once your book reaches a certain level, they start sending it out as a recommended book to buy to their lists.

If you have ever bought something from Amazon, you know how actively they work their lists.  A very good example to us all who are looking to build lists and keep in contact with our customers or clients.

Once I have made a good level of profits, I will think about reinvesting these funds and start outsourcing a lot of the process on books that don’t have my name on them.

People Who Are Doing Well with Kindle Books
There are lots of people who are having enormous success with their kindle book collection. Here are a couple of blogs that I follow, who provide me with the inspiration to continue doing what I am doing.
