Sod’s Law Slapped Me Good
Well, a couple of days ago I was so smug about getting up to date with my 30 day blogging challenge one day later I am behind schedule. But this time it wasn’t my fault. My internet connection was down so I couldn’t connect to my website or my Squidoo lenses.
I believe that this was because there were some guys cutting down the branches of the trees and they let the branches fall onto the telephone cables. Something has most probably come loose. Now I am waiting for phone guy to come look but have been told that it could take up to 72 hours.
This is very annoying but there is nothing I can do but wait.
Two Days Later……
Internet Connection Has Returned! Hurrah!
Anyway, back to the challenge. I am carrying on from where I left off.
Tasks Completed on Day Eleven
- My New Squidoo Lens
- My Idea for October’s Challenge
The New Squidoo Lens
This one is about Orange Knee Socks. This sounds like and odd choice but there are people out there who are specifically looking for socks in this colour.
Let’s hope I make a sale.
My October Challenge
It took a while to decide on the theme but I have finally decided on something that will help to improve my personal development.
Learn a Language – Travel to Spain
I had already started learning Spanish by taking a part time course but I have never had the opportunity to practice in a Spanish speaking country. There are still a few words and phrases stuck in my head but I need more lessons.
Fortunately I discovered a fantastic discount offer for 15 Spanish classes for just £47. I snapped that up immediately. The offer is valid for 6 months.
I have also started looking at the cost of travelling to Spain for a one week language immersion course.
So my challenge for October is to:
- Book & confirm the dates for my Spanish lessons
- Book & confirm my one week Spanish immersion course for early next year
I look forward to trying out the Spanish again as this will bring me one step closer to my ultimate goal and that is to visit Cuba. Wish me luck.
